Understanding our client’s mission and brand standards is critical when working with a well-established nationally-recognized institution such as Shriners Hospitals. Accordingly we jump-started this project with a series of client meetings to lay out the parameters of this large-scale traveling exhibition which consisted of a commemorative book, two oversized hanging banners, 12 stand-alone portable displays, multiple life-size cut outs, a children’s interactive and much more.
After brainstorming with project stakeholders, we suggested transforming the exhibit concept from a historical timeline to a vibrant representation of the heart of Shriners–the stories of the children served by Shriners and their heroic caregivers. By reinterpreting the content and design of the exhibition, we added value by more accurately supporting the existing Shriners brand and infusing the exhibit with increased flexibility and longevity. In addition to fulfilling its original mission of acting as a 12-month backdrop to the Cincinnati Shriners 40th Anniversary Event, the exhibit can now be shared with various organizations to support education, fundraising, and building public awareness of Shriners Hospitals’ philanthropic mission.
